Upon successful completion of the 3-month pre-apprenticeship program you are eligible to apply to a comprehensive 12-month apprenticeship program for an employer. By completing the full 15-month apprenticeship program you will receive a Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship from the Department of Labor.

Onboarding
As soon as you sign up, you can participate in an onboarding webinar to learn more about our training programs. Syllabus, schedule, Q&A: you can plan your training program with peace of mind.
Mentor sessions and skill acquisition
No more grades: you’re evaluated based on the skills you acquire and the completion of real-life projects, which allow you to build a portfolio, in cooperation with your mentor, our teaching team and online resources. You’ll meet with your mentor 1:1, once a week throughout the program.
Assessment and Certificate of Completion
Your project portfolio is evaluated by your mentor, who will validate the acquisition of skills necessary to receive an OpenClassrooms Certificate of Completion.
What do you need to succeed?
OpenClassrooms learning method is unique and revolves around two elements: professional projects and dedicated mentoring sessions.
Projects: Learning is project-driven because that’s the fastest way to become proficient. Projects offer hands-on experience so you can hit the ground running.
The pre-apprenticeship programs have 3 – 4 projects (depending on the selected program), that you’ll need to complete one at a time. You’ll receive a detailed brief with the context, customer requirements, and additional details. Then it’s up to you to make it happen! You’ll need to be creative, come up with innovative solutions to the questions at hand.
Mentoring: A great benefit of any OpenClassrooms program is that you will be assigned an individual mentor that you will meet with on a weekly basis via video conference. The mentor is a practicing expert in your chosen field of study. The mentor will offer guidance on your projects, help define objectives, and coach you until you reach your goal.

Who is eligible to enroll?
To be considered for this program, you need to meet the following prerequisites:
- Be over 18 years of age and have the right to work in the US
- Language: a good level of English (for non-native speakers, a CEFR level of B2, an IELTS band score of 6.5, or a TOEFL score of 80 is recommended).
- Have a high school/secondary school degree , vocational certificate, or equivalent.
- Have access to a computer (PC or Mac), headphones, a webcam, and a stable internet connection.
- Additional prerequisite may be required for your selected program
